Favorito (TM Polyus) received the FSSC 22000 version 6 certificate

Polyus was founded in 1996. The first product was the well-known Polyus bar, which has been a favorite treat for many Ukrainians for over 20 years. It has gained great popularity due to its nutritional value, rich taste, convenient format, and the use of natural and high-quality ingredients. “Polyus with hazelnuts is the main product of the confectionery production and perhaps its business card, which uses high-quality Georgian hazelnuts and the best cocoa varieties.

Quality remains a top priority for the Polyus factory. Production is flexible, with great technical and technological capabilities. The company offers a wide range of products, including wafer bars, weight wafers, candies, gift cakes and wafer semi-finished products. Today, Polyus Confectionery successfully sells its products in the markets of Europe and Central Asia.

The company always analyzes and focuses on the leading market trends in production and sales. TM Polyus always listens to its customers, offering them high-quality and tasty products.
The FSSC 22000 certificate directly affects the production itself, leading to a number of changes and improvements in the company's internal processes. This is what the food safety certification scheme means for Favorito and its production:
Improvement of the food safety management system, as the FSSC 22000 standard requires the company to establish, implement and maintain an effective food safety management system that covers all stages of the production process - from the purchase of raw materials to the shipment of finished products. This involves developing and following procedures to control critical points, identify risks and threats, and implement measures to prevent food hazards.

The standard also requires improvement of quality control processes, i.e., to obtain FSSC 22000 certification, production must implement more stringent quality control procedures. This means enhanced quality control at every stage of production, regular equipment inspections, product testing, temperature control, equipment cleanliness and compliance with sanitary standards.

Equally important is the implementation of a risk management procedure, the FSSC 22000 standard requires the implementation of a Risk-Based Thinking approach. This means that the company must analyze risks at all stages of production, identify possible hazards, assess their likelihood and impact, and develop measures to minimize or prevent them. This helps to avoid food safety problems before they occur.

Improving hygiene and sanitation and continuous monitoring, to comply with the FSSC 22000 standard, a company must improve its hygiene and sanitation programs. This includes training employees in proper hand washing, use of sanitary clothing, disinfection of equipment and production areas, regular cleaning of production facilities and equipment, pest control, etc.

To improve the production culture, it is necessary to conduct training and development of personnel, Certification requires regular training and advanced training of personnel. Employees must be familiar with food safety procedures, risk management, and the requirements of the FSSC 22000 standard and be able to apply this knowledge in practice. This increases the overall safety culture at work.

Optimization of resource use - processes that become more controlled and structured allow the company to use its resources (raw materials, water, energy) more efficiently. The amount of waste, product losses and production disruptions is reduced, which can lead to lower costs and higher production efficiency.

The main issue that runs as a red line through the scheme is the improvement of traceability, FSSC 22000 requires an improved product traceability system that allows you to quickly identify the sources of possible problems and take the necessary measures to eliminate them. This is especially important in the event of food safety incidents, when it is necessary to quickly identify the causes and remove potentially unsafe products from the market.

Due to stricter quality control and risk management, FSSC 22000 certification helps to reduce the number of defective products, consumer complaints and the need for product recalls. This enhances the company's reputation and reduces the costs associated with product returns or customer compensation.

Certification requires emergency action plans to ensure that the company is ready to respond quickly and effectively to any threats to food safety. And in our time and for our country, this is a crucial issue, as food safety is one of the critical national security issues.

In general, FSSC 22000 certification allows production to operate more efficiently, safely and in line with modern market requirements. It helps to reduce risks, optimize processes and increase confidence in products, which, in turn, can lead to increased sales and strengthen the company's market position.

Thus, the FSSC 22000 certification helps Polyus to confirm its reputation, constantly increase confidence in its products, enter new markets and maintain high food safety standards. We wish the company to keep going and find new and new connoisseurs of its products around the world!
