The objectives of the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification System (ISCC) are to create an international, practically viable and transparent certification system for biomass and bioenergy. The ISCC certification program is designed for global application. It covers the evaluation of sustainable production criteria, management criteria, traceability documentation and the evaluation of greenhouse gas savings calculations.


The carefully thought-out concept of ISCC as an international scheme has been pilot tested and approved by the EU and German authorities. It is based on experience, differs in effectiveness and efficiency.
